How are my ceramics made?

I make my pottery using earthenware clay, glazes and a variety of sculpting techniques.

Every piece is hand made by me using methods such as throwing, pinching, slab building and coiling. Details are added to the surface to add texture and interest.

All pieces are carefully painted using colourful underglazes, brush on and dipping glazes, to give a shiny surface effect and brings the clay to life.

How do I commission a piece?

I don’t currently take commissions. If anything changes I will notify via my newsletter subscriber list and social media.

Before purchasing.

Handmade ceramics are never perfect. I believe this is part of their charm. When a piece has an imperfection that's a bit more noticeable than usual, I include this in the product description, so please read them carefully before making a purchase. .

How do I purchase an item?

Shop drops take place roughly once a month. When a new shop update is scheduled, the date and time (GMT) of the shop update will be announced via the mailing list.

To subscribe to the mailing list you can add your email to the newsletter sign up.

My ceramics can sell out quite fast. I am very thankful for the enthusiasm about my work, but unfortunately this also means that people miss out on pieces sometimes. I create all my pieces by hand, so my production will always be limited. There's not much I can do about this unfortunately!

Checkout fast if you see something in particular that you really, really want.

Don't trust that just because it's in your basket, it's yours...it might not still be in your basket at the checkout. Somebody else could buy it before you.

I purchased two pieces separately. Can you ship them together?

Yes. If you purchased several pieces in different orders on the same day, the pieces will be sent out in one parcel and the extra shipping costs will be refunded. Note that it may take 1/2 days before the refund is completed.

Let me know if the orders are from two different people to the same address!

When will the piece I like be back in stock?

I work very slowly and carefully, so please be patient when waiting for your product to come back into stock. Items are released every month and designs are mixed up month on month, so new pieces come in stock for each drop.

You can subscribe to my mailing list. Preview emails are sent out roughly 1-2 days before the shop update launches.

Important Information for Norwegian Customers

As I am not currently registered under the Norwegian VOEC scheme, please be aware of the following for all orders delivered to Norway:

  • VAT (Moms): You will be required to pay 25% VAT on the total value of your order (including shipping) upon its arrival in Norway.

  • Handling Fees: The courier (e.g., Posten Norway) will charge a customs clearance fee. For most orders under 3,000 NOK, this is approximately 78 NOK (approx. £6 / €7). For orders over 3,000 NOK, this fee is approximately 278 NOK.

  • Delivery: Your parcel may be held by customs until these fees are paid. You will typically receive a notification via the Posten app or SMS to complete the payment.

 * Smooth Clearance: I provide all necessary documentation for your shipment to ensure it passes through customs as quickly as possible.
.
Why is there a threshold?
The European Union has specific rules for goods arriving from outside the trade zone. While smaller orders are often streamlined, larger orders are subject to standard import procedures:
> Pro Tip: If you are planning a large purchase, you might consider splitting it into two smaller orders (under €150 each) to simplify the customs process, though separate shipping fees would apply.

How long will my order take to arrive?

UK orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days. International orders may take 7-14 business days depending on your location.

Are your ceramics dishwasher and microwave safe?

No, my pieces are not dishwasher and microwave safe. I recommend hand washing to preserve the beauty of your ceramics for years to come.

Do you accept returns?

We want you to love your purchase. If you're not completely satisfied, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Are these items handmade?

Yes, every piece is handcrafted in my UK at my home. This means each item is unique and may have slight variations that add to its character.  I am not open to the public or available for courses.

How should I care for my ceramics?

While our pieces are durable, we recommend hand washing with mild soap and avoiding sudden temperature changes to ensure longevity.

Earthenware clay which is a fragile material. If you need to clean your piece, you can rinse with water and a mild detergent. Not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.

Keep away from children.

If you look after your pottery, it will last forever!
