January Recap: Handbuilt Cows & New Beginnings

January Recap: Handbuilt Cows & New Beginnings

January has been a whirlwind of clay, creativity, and community. While the weather outside has been grey, the studio has been buzzing with new projects and some very exciting milestones.

šŸŗ The Art of the Hand built

My main focus this month has been back at the workbench. Every Highland cow that left the studio this month was hand built, not thrown on a wheel. I love the slow, intentional process of pinching and sculpting each one; it’s the only way to get those individual expressions and that signature fringe just right. No two are ever the same, and that’s exactly how I like it.

šŸ‚ The Big Shop Drop Success

The month culminated in the Big Highland Cow Shop Drop. Based on how well it went last year, I brought back pre-orders, and I’m thrilled to say it was a massive success! Thank you to everyone who snagged a cow or placed an order—knowing these hand-sculpted pieces are headed to new homes is the best feeling.

šŸŽ„ Beyond the Studio: YouTube & Facebook

When I haven't been elbow-deep in clay, I’ve been busy growing our online community:

  • YouTube Success: I’ve been continuing the fun over on YouTube with the wonderful Crochet Crazy Helen. We’ve had a blast collaborating, and the energy from the subscribers has been incredible. If you haven't tuned in yet, [check out the channel here]!

  • New Facebook Subscription: I’m so excited to announce that I launched my Facebook Subscription Channel! For justĀ 99p a month, you can get an even closer look at what happens behind the scenes in the studio. It’s a small way to support my work and get some exclusive extras in return. [Join the subscription here]!
